June 30th Downhill Skate Classic, Bude, UK - Gooseneck Steppers Crew play the skate park on the Saturday afternoon and then headline the main evening music event also featuring John Kennedy, Pedigree Chumps, Jap Sluts, the New 1920 and a very special secret guest indeed! Hosted by Carpetface. RW Hedges plays an acoustic Downhill set on the Sunday, time and venue tbc.

This 38-track double album represents the last 3 years of Carpetface's eclectic musical experimentation both in the studio and live onstage, joining the dots between pop, hiphop, funk , reggae, soul, rock, electronica, breaks and psych in a style best described so far as "Prince Paul smoking crack with Syd Barrett" (Jockey Slut Magazine). Schizophrenic in mood and message, the vibe is sometimes adult, sometimes childish in humour and content and somewhere in the distance listeners may even find a hint of common sense.
The project was written, recorded, arranged and produced by Carpetface literally all over the place (even on a transatlantic flight!)and features collabs with artists Carpet met through his various live tours (including such names as the STEREO MC's, KEITH LEVENE (P.I.L), New York artists THE GRINCH, JENDOG LONEWOLF and Dr.OSCILLATOR, beatboxer AUDIBLE PORNO, ETCHA(Covert Recordings), Celeste (SHORTY), Freefall and more). The turntable cuts on this album are courtesy of none other thanCarpet's 'right hand man' DJ SAMO and even though we say so ourselves it's sicker than a dry fuck in a bath of bleach. (that is, we're very happy with it indeed).
The album was mixed over the summer in between Carpet's club and festival dates, and eventually mastered by studio legend BIG AL(the Ripple Effect) at the Sonic Kitchen in a week-long session in september that destroyed much in the way of vegetation and braincells. (It's ok though, most people can't tell the difference as they talked a lot of rubbish and had twitches long before the session even started). Two of the more memorable quotes from the mastering session include "you CAN polish a turd"-Big Al and "I fucking carried that fucker"-Carpetface.(guess you had to be there). anyway it's good and you should buy it if you get the chance. so there.
other news.... the QUIM REAPER EP is out NOW on ITUNES! produced reluctantly by an abducted and electrically tortured CARPETFACE at the once sanitary Ruglab Studios. it's filthy. it really fucking is. available soon mailorder from airculture.

Dirty Sanchez the Movie, featuring music by Carpetface, is out now in cinemas worldwide with a DVD release (featuring bonus CARRPETFACE tracks) out Jan 2007 (Pathe/Vertigo/MTV Films)
-you can also hear Carpetface on the Atomic Hooligan album "You are Here" , winner of the 2006 BREAKSPOLL Best Album award, out NOW on the Botchit and Scarper label to mad wicked critical acclaim. Carpetface wrote, performed and co-arranged the track "Wait til You're Sleeping" for the project and his track has had play on such stations as XFM - nice one mr Temple Morris, cheers for digging.
